Begin among Tarangire’s ancient baobabs, cross into the endless plains of the Serengeti to trace its kopjes, rivers, and resident lion prides, then close the journey descending into the timeless world of the Ngorongoro Crater. Your guide will be waiting at the airport to welcome you — with the warmth and hospitality that runs through everything we do. Your luggage, your comfort, your first stories of Tanzania all begin here, as you’re transferred safely to your hotel. Rest a while before a short evening briefing on the adventure ahead
Tarangire Game Drive
After breakfast, your guide leads you into Tarangire National Park — a landscape vast enough that it never feels crowded. Wander the Lemiyoni Circuit, known as “small Serengeti” for its open plains, pause at Matete picnic site for cliff-top views over the Tarangire River, and pass through Silalei Swamp and the Larmakau–Kuro corridor, a stronghold for browsers, grazers, and the predators that follow them. As the day winds down, Sangaiwe offers one of the park’s finest sunset views. With years of experience reading this land, your guide knows exactly where the story is unfolding. Tarangire to Serengeti, via Ngorongoro
Soon after breakfast, the journey west begins. A short stop at the eastern rift valley viewpoint offers a sweeping view over Lake Manyara, where your guide shares the story of the land below. At Loduare Gate, formalities complete, you’ll ascend through mountain forest until the crater reveals itself — a moment that never loses its power, no matter how many times it’s witnessed. Continuing on, you’ll see wildlife and Maasai livestock sharing the same land in quiet harmony — conservation in its truest form. The land opens into the vast plains of the Serengeti, with a stop at Naabi Hill Gate before reaching Seronera Valley, where you’ll spend the night.
Central Serengeti Game Drive
A day spent in one of the richest game valleys in Africa. Explore the Utafiti area near the Serengeti Research Institute, home to grazers and browsers and, in season, great herds of elephant. Retina Hippo Pool offers a rare, close view of hippos sharing the water with aquatic birds, while the Grumeti River winds through the valley, drawing wildlife from every direction. A stop at the Seronera Visitor Center brings the story of the Great Migration to life, laid out like chapters in an open-air exhibit.
Serengeti’s Sea of Grass & Kopjes
Today traces the strongholds of the Serengeti’s great lion prides and open plains where cheetah are often spotted with ease. Explore the ancient granite kopjes that rise like islands from the grassland — Maasai Kopjes, rich with history your guide will bring to life; Moru Kopjes, always alive with activity; and Simba Kopjes, the tallest in the Serengeti and a favorite resting place for lions surveying their territory. Ngorongoro Crater
Today, the world’s largest intact caldera. Descend via the Seneto trail, feeling the crater walls rise around you as you enter the Lerai Forest, where elephants have long left their mark on the acacia trees. From there, your guide leads you through Engitati Hill, Mandusi Swamp, the Munge River, and other hidden corners known best to those who’ve walked this land for years. Ngoitokitok picnic site — with its hippo pool and open air — is one of the most beautiful pauses in the entire crater, though it’s wise to keep an eye on the black kites, who aren’t shy about claiming a snack of their own. In the late afternoon, ascend the crater wall via the Lerai road, stopping at Kiss Stone for one last, unforgettable view before exiting the crater and driving back to Arusha for the night.
Departure Day
After breakfast, spend your final hours in Arusha exploring the town and picking up handcrafted souvenirs before your guide transfers you to the airport, ready to carry your story home.
