A single park, but never a single story — dense forest gives way to open plains, then to a shimmering soda lake. Lake Manyara surprises at every turn, best known for its rare tree-climbing lions and ever-changing scenery.
1-Day Itinerary:
Your day begins with an early morning pickup from your hotel in Arusha. Enjoy the scenery as you head to Mto Wa Mbu and Lake Manyara National Park. After a quick stop at the gate for restrooms, snacks and registration, your journey begins. As you enter the park look up in the tree lined canopy for Blue and Vervet Monkeys, as well as numerous Baboons. Your game drive winds its way through scenic circuits of groundwater forest, open grassland, and along the lake shore. You will stop for a picnic lunch with a beautiful view that takes in the expanse of the lake and is also near a natural hotspring that you can visit. After lunch you will make your way back through the park, make sure to watch for tree-climbing lions, giraffes, and all the wonderful bird species. Your day ends with a ride back to your hotel with a day full of memories.
